Contour +2 audio problems

I was wondering if anyone has received a reply from contour support RE: the status of the current audio problems on the new +2's. The audio is terrible and I was wondering if a cause has been determined and a fix implemented.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for contacting Contour Technical Support. We have not seen or heard of any audio problems with Contour+2. Can you tell me what sort of audio problems you are having? Also, what type of microSD card are you using? Are you using an external mic? Does it only happen with the internal or external mic, or both?

Can you provide a link to an up loaded video that demonstrates the issue?

The more information you can provide, the better I can assist you.

I also have the same issues with muffled audio quality. Is there a resolution to this? I paid $400 for this camera and I would hate to return it. There are quite a few forums out there that are discussing this muffled audio quality on the new contour plus 2's. The issue is out there and known. In fact a friend of mine on deployment went and bought himself one of these because of its bluetooth capability and he also complains of the same issue. Is there fix in sight?

If you are having audio problems, please send an email directly to support@contour.com with a short sample video. There is a good chance that we may need to replace that unit for you.

Same problem with me... I Have a contour, and the persons voices are very faded out.
I Speak directly to the camera and is like i am very far away. I Think that is not a hardware problem but a firmware problem. Please fix it...
