making audio adjustments on a 1080p

Chris Dec 17, 2012 01:09PM MST

How can I make audio adjustments like setting the gain on a 1080p? I can download story teller on my new macbook pro but it will not see the camera so no way to use that, and there no more updates for the 1080p to make it work on a Macbook pro. I have a old powerbook that see the camera fine but I can not instal Story teller because it is not supported on the older power book? So if you are going to tell me I am sol will you tell me what this camera is good for now if I have no way of adjusting the settings? Will you give me my money back to put towards a camera that works? Or have i paid for something that now is useless? Am I expected to just keep buying a new camera from you every time you have a new one out and just throw the old one out? I would love to know. Thank you.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for contacting us. While unfortunately the 1080p model is not compatible with Apple's USB 3.0 ports, as I believe I mentioned in another thread you created, you can get around this by plugging the camera into a USB hub and then plugging the hub into a computer. When we were making the 1080p, USB 3.0 wasn't standard and was pretty very new (we stopped producing this camera in 2010) - and while the camera will work with Windows 3.0 USB ports, Apple's USB 3.0 ports were different and unfortunately are not compatible.
