changing the gain on a 1080p

CJ Jan 02, 2013 09:25AM MST

I have a 1080p and a new macbook pro. and a old powerbook g4, I have the problem that one is too old and one is too new. Also I am in Brazil for vacation an have no access to a usb hub. Is there any way to get access to the old software that I can re-set my gain. I put it all the way down for when I was using it on a motorcycle, not I can hear nothing. What can I do? I have posted a few questions about this problem before with the fact the 1080p is not supported any more and it will not work with Mac new USB. I got only one answers to many questions about this problem. Is support only aloud to give one answer per email? So far I have gotten little help to my problem. Just too bad you are still using our old products, buy new ones and throw out the one that still works.

Thanks for any help

Hi Chris,

Thanks for contacting Contour Technical Support. We're aware that some Apple Mac computers with USB 3.0 ports are having trouble recognizing Contour cameras when plugged in directly using a USB cable. While our newer cameras have a firmware update for this, the ContourHD 1080p is too old for that update and will not directly connect to USB 3.0 ports on the new Macs.

I'm sorry that I can't provide you with a better solution.
