Problems with Storyteller Imports Freezing and Crashing App
Very often, I begin an import request and the bar moves very slowly and ultimately appears to timeout and fail. As a result, Storyteller appears to hang up and I'm forced to use Task Manager to kill the application and restart. This makes it extremely frustrating to import and work with my videos...
Thanks for contacting Contour Technical Support. I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with Storyteller. This error usually stems from a problem with the installation of Quicktime on your computer. Storyteller uses components of Quicktime to play the movies from the camera.
I suggest that you do the following steps in this order:
1) Uninstall Storyteller
2) Uninstall Quicktime
3) Reinstall Quicktime (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/)
4) Reinstall Storyteller (http://contour.com/software/storyteller)
That should correct the error.
