With the back door of the ContourROAM facing you, make sure that the white dot on the locking mechanism is not visible. Hold the bottom of the camera firmly. Grasp the outer edge of the door with your other hand and gently pull upward. The door will move upward a couple of millimeters and then flip open towards you.
