If you are using a Mac, the chances are that you have not emptied the trash. When you delete files on a Mac, they go to the trash and continue to take up space on the card until you empty the trash.

To correct this, don't forget to empty the trash on your Mac BEFORE you eject the camera. This will free up space and make room for new recordings.
