The ContourROAM2 is an updated version of the original ContourROAM. Both cameras feature Contour's one-touch record slider and are waterproof to 1 meter without a waterproof case. The ContourROAM2 adds a lock switch for the record slider, the ability to shoot 720p at 60FPS, and the option for colored camera barrels.
With the back door of the ContourROAM facing you, make sure that the white dot on the locking mechanism is not visible. Hold the bottom of the camera firmly. Grasp the outer edge of the door with your other hand and gently pull upward. The door will move upward a couple of millimeters and then flip open towards you.
Before proceeding, reformat the microSD card in your ContourROAM using the steps outlined here and then test your camera's audio. In many cases this will correct the low audio issue. We recently discovered some early production ContourROAM camcorders are not recording audio correctly. The resulting audio may sound very low or non-existent when played back on the video file. We determined there are two s...

The Contour ROAM has an internal battery that cannot be replaced by the customer. Having the battery inside the camera is part of what allows the camera to be waterproof to 1 meter.
The Contour ROAM is waterproof up to 1 meter (3 feet). It is IPX-7 rated. This allows the camera to operate in a rain-storm, while jet-skiing, wake-boarding, snowboarding or skiing, etc... If you'd like to use the camera at depths greater than 1 meter, we recommend the waterproof case designed for the ContourROAM. It is rated for a depth of 60 meters (180 feet).
Can you connect the Contour ROAM2 up to a TV to view the footage that you've recorded?
Hello, Contour Roam 2 has no bluetooth functionality built in and cannot be used with an iPhone: can we use the Contour Connect View Card to get this function ? Thanks Yannick
Is one available? Roam2 is rated to 60 feet, but I need a case for 180' depth.
I see that the + has a llive stream feature. Does the roam2 have it as well?
