Is the Contour+2 Waterproof?
The Contour+2 is not waterproof without the use of the included waterproof case. While the camera can take some light exposure to moisture or snow, the rule of thumb is that if there is enough water on the camera that it can get in to the seams of the camera, then you should be using the waterproof case. Once in the waterproof case, it is good to a depth of 60 meters for 30 minutes.

Static Noise in Video
In some situations you may hear a small amount of background static noise in videos shot with the Contour+2. This can happen if the camera was recording near low frequency sounds such as automotive and aircraft engines. To prevent this static in future recordings, lower the microphone sensitivity levels for your camera in using the Camera Configuration tool in Storyteller.

External Microphones (Contour+2)

A very nice feature of this camera is having two preset modes. However I have yet to find an easy way of switching between them.
